Lectio Divina is the Church’s old practice of reading Scripture as one reads a love letter — slowly, twice, with the heart. It moves in four gentle steps: lectio (read), meditatio (ponder), oratio (pray), contemplatio (rest).

What it teaches is patience. The Word is not consumed; it is received. In a culture trained to skim, lectio is a counter-discipline — a quiet rebellion that lets the same passage be turned in the hand until its light catches us at a different angle.

A placeholder reflection — Fr Francis Afu’s actual writing will replace this after the site is delivered.
